氪氣是稀有氣體，無色、無味、無毒、惰性，氪氣集中存在于大氣中，在大氣中占有1.1ppm。氪氣的自然豐度是：

    主要應(yīng)用物理研究、計(jì)數(shù)管、激光、紫外線源、標(biāo)準(zhǔn)氣、特種混合氣等。氪氣具有比氬氣更大的分子量和低的熱導(dǎo)率，使氪氣成為優(yōu)良的填充氣。氪氣能吸收X射線，可用作X射線工作時(shí)的遮光材料。可以用于制成不需要電能的原子燈。
 
注意事項(xiàng): 氪氣是一種無色、無味、無毒的不燃燒的儲(chǔ)存于氣瓶中的高壓氣體。當(dāng)氪氣含量增加導(dǎo)致氧氣含量低于19.5%時(shí)有可能引起窒息。瓶裝氪氣為高壓充裝氣體，使用時(shí)應(yīng)經(jīng)減壓降壓后方可使用。包裝的氣瓶上均有使用的年限，凡到期的氣瓶必須送往有部門進(jìn)行安全檢驗(yàn)，方能繼續(xù)使用。瓶裝氪氣在運(yùn)輸儲(chǔ)存、使用時(shí)都應(yīng)分類堆放，嚴(yán)禁可燃?xì)怏w與助燃?xì)怏w堆放在一起，不準(zhǔn)靠近明火和熱源，應(yīng)做到勿近火、勿沾油臘、勿爆曬、勿重拋、勿撞擊，嚴(yán)禁在氣瓶身上進(jìn)行引弧或電弧，嚴(yán)禁野蠻裝卸。
